Danielle’s practice focuses on advising and representing general contractors, subcontractors, owner/developers and design professionals through all manner of issues related to the construction process. Her practice activities include drafting, review and negotiation of various contract documents prior to project launch; providing counsel, representation and dispute resolution throughout the course of a project; and representation in complex litigation, mediation, and arbitration proceedings. Danielle has significant experience with the handling and successful resolution of a wide variety of construction claims, including those for breach of contract, construction/design defect, indemnity, delay, acceleration, and termination.
Danielle is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and has served on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Chapter for the past two years. Danielle is also currently serving as the Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect of the Construction Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association after having served on the Board of Directors for many years. In addition to her membership and participation in the Litigation and Construction Litigation Sections of the American Bar Association, Danielle is also actively involved with the ABA’s Forum on the Construction Industry. Among other things, Danielle’s work with the Forum includes her participation on the Steering Committee of Division 8 (International Contracting and Dispute Resolution) and related activity as Co-Chair of a committee to develop relationships with construction practitioners outside the U.S., her former work as a member of the Steering Committee of Division 5 (Contract Negotiation, Administration and Performance), service on the Forum’s Women and Minority Fellowship Committee, and her participation as a frequent contributor to various Forum programs, including serving as Co-Chair of the Forum’s 2010 Fall Meeting in Miami, Florida.
Danielle received her J.D. in 1994 from Washburn University School of Law. She earned her B.A. in Communications/Theatre in 1991 from the University of Missouri.
