“Unions Push Companies as Workers Stay Scarce,” The Wall Street Journal
As union leaders push for more membership and improvements for their workforces in light of labor shortages affecting several industries, Marcel Debruge provided perspective on the issue in an October 17, 2021 article in The Wall Street Journal.
Debruge, who represents management in all aspects of labor & employment law, said that companies are dealing with heightened frustration among employees. However, many companies are increasing efforts to be responsive, and employees might not turn to unions – partly because workers now have other avenues to express grievances and secure gains, including social media. “I don’t believe a new day has dawned in organized labor,” he said.
