Overview
J.P. Sauer practices with the firm's Corporate & Tax Group. His business law practice focuses on general corporate matters along with mergers and acquisitions.
J.P. represents clients in a variety of corporate matters including mergers, acquisitions, entity formation, corporate governance, and daily contract issues. He has been involved in a variety of mergers and acquisitions in the manufacturing, healthcare, retail and restaurant/hospitality industries, representing both strategic and private equity clients. He has worked on numerous acquisitions and divestitures involving franchised concepts and advises regularly on franchise matters in connection with franchisor and franchisee acquisitions and investments.
J.P. received his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School. While there he worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Daniel Gervais on his textbook, (Re)structuring Copyright: A Comprehensive Path to International Copyright Reform.
