Overview

Liz is an Associate in the Birmingham office where she practices in the firm's Corporate and Tax group.

Liz’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, and franchise law. She assists clients on both the sale and buy side of mergers and acquisitions in the manufacturing, healthcare, retail and restaurant/hospitality industries. Liz regularly provides support to the firm’s clients for their general outside counsel needs. Her franchise practice varies from helping start-up franchisors draft their franchise documentation to participating in the due diligence of large multi-unit franchisor- and franchisee-client transactions.

Liz received her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, Liz served as a member of the University of Georgia’s Journal of Intellectual Property Law’s Executive Board as the Managing Editor. Liz also participated in the Business Law Clinic and the Mediation II Clinic.

Liz received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama where she graduated summa cum laude with a major in Economics and a minor in Communication Studies. In the summer of 2016, Liz studied abroad at the London School of Economics amidst the Brexit vote.
