The UAB School of Nursing Junior Board of Visitors welcomes Burr & Forman Health Care Partner Kelli Fleming as their new Chair. Fleming has been an active and dedicated member of the JBOV for many years and her leadership will continue the great success of the Board. The JBOV is comprised of a diverse group of leaders whose contributions of time, knowledge and philanthropy serve as a cornerstone to sustaining excellence in nursing education. Among the Board’s advocacy efforts is the annual No-Show Ball that takes place the first weekend of November, a unique event that allows you to support the UAB School of Nursing without ever leaving your home.

At Burr, Kelli assists all types of clients within the health care industry, including hospitals, surgery centers, physician practices, diagnostic centers, and home health and hospice agencies, with the various legal issues they may face.

Kelli practices in the firm’s health care group, assisting health care providers with all aspects of their businesses. Kelli’s experience includes licensure and certificate of need issues, contract drafting and negotiation, fraud and abuse compliance, Medicare/Medicaid regulatory guidance, RAC, ZPIC, and third-party payor audits, HIPAA compliance, employment matters, third-party payor disputes, and various other corporate and regulatory concerns health care providers may face.
