Because construction work has been labeled an essential service depending on the locality, type of project, or the project’s status, contractors have had to deal with evolving safety concerns and new employment questions.

Mack offered best practices for contractors operating while the pandemic continues, including the importance of monitoring local and federal government guidance, how to implement and document employee health screening procedures, and employee rights when being screened.

Additional considerations for a safe workplace are to onboard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), enhanced cleaning procedures, social distancing, and new vendor and material delivery policies.
