February 26, 2025 – Burr & Forman hosted a panel to discuss the history of Haiti and the lived experience of Haitian Americans. Historians, Dr. Laurent DuBois and Dr. Shauna Rigaud, shared their expertise on Caribbean history and the long-standing relationship between Haiti and the United States. Other guests shared memories of their families’ journeys from Haiti to the U.S., shedding light on the themes of cultural assimilation, self-acceptance, and navigating success in a new country.
