Burr's Forrest Latta Reappointed to the Alabama Supreme Court's Standing Committee for the Alabama Rules of Evidence
The Alabama Supreme Court has reappointed Mobile Partner Forrest Latta to serve a three-year term on The Court's Standing Committee for the Alabama Rules of Evidence.
"It is a great honor to be appointed by the Justices of the Supreme Court to advise them on the Rules of Evidence that govern all trials and evidentiary hearings in Alabama courts, and it is humbling to be reappointed to another term.," said Latta.
The reappointment is effective October 1. Latta was first appointed to the committee in 2020.
Forrest Latta is a seasoned litigator with many years of courtroom experience, both trial and appellate. His track record includes significant wins and successful settlements in complex business cases, insurance coverage and bad-faith disputes, consumer class actions, product liability defense, and cases against broadcast and print media companies.
In addition to handling cases in the trial courts, he chairs the firm's Appellate Practice Section, leveraging his experience in over 200 appeals, including several landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases on punitive damages.
