Bhumi Patel Elected to SCWLA Board of Directors
McNair attorney Bhumi Patel has been elected to the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association (SCWLA) Board of Directors. During her one-year term on the Board, Patel will work alongside 24 other female attorneys in South Carolina to promote, advocate and preserve the status, abilities and competency of the more than 900 SCWLA members.
"It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the SCWLA leadership and to represent my region, and I look forward to working with the other Board of Directors to continue to build a sense of camaraderie for female attorneys in South Carolina," said Patel.
Patel assists her clients with the navigation of various aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions, contract negotiations, lender representation, and business formation. In addition to real estate, Bhumi also assists the firm's current clients with estate planning including drafting wills, power of attorneys and trust agreements.
SCWLA is a statewide organization consisting of more than 900 members and a 25-member Board of Directors. Founded and run by women, SCWLA emphasizes the opportunity to meet and help other women through sponsored and credited educational programs, regular regional lunches, and mentoring programs.
