Burr Boosts Labor & Employment Practice in Atlanta
Atlanta, GA - Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Jon M. Gumbel as a partner in the firm's Atlanta office and member of the Labor & Employment practice group. He was previously a partner at Ogletree Deakins.
Gumbel defends employers in regards to state and federal employment, administrative and litigation matters, as well as advising management on all aspects of employment law issues. Additionally, Jon drafts, defends and prosecutes restrictive covenant agreements and regularly litigates restrictive covenant, trade secret, fiduciary duty and asset theft issues. He defends ERISA litigation including STD, LTD, life insurance, health insurance and subrogation claims. Jon represents employers in regards to traditional labor disputes which includes collective bargaining agreement negotiations, arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges.

Gumbel has also been named one of America's Leading Attorneys for six consecutive years by Chambers USA. He has been active with the Human Resources Management Association in Gwinnett County, where he previously served as a legislative chairperson. He also chaired the annual Human Resources Management Association's Labor & Employment Law Seminar.
Gumbel earned his undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University, and his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
