MONTGOMERY, Ala. Oct. 10, 2018 - Burr & Forman LLP announces the addition of Montgomery-based attorney Schuyler Espy, who will ultimately serve as the firm's Alabama point person for representing clients in the public and private sectors with respect to environmental law matters and related policy issues. Espy will join the firm's Real Estate and Environment & Land Use practice groups as counsel.

Espy previously worked for over 11 years with the Office of General Counsel of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM), where she held the positions of associate general counsel and assistant attorney general. While at ADEM, she handled a variety of legal matters, focusing on wastewater and storm water permitting and enforcement.

Additionally, Espy worked as executive counsel to the ADEM director, and as a legislative liaison for the Department.

Espy is licensed to practice law in Alabama and is admitted to all state and federal courts in Alabama and to the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.
