Burr & Forman Adds Financial Services Attorney in Orlando

Orlando, Fla. - Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Lindsay J. Dykstra as an associate in its Orlando office. She joins the firm's Financial Services practice group, concentrating on consumer finance litigation and compliance. She was recently with the law firm Akerman, LLP in Orlando.

Dykstra represents financial institutions on mortgage foreclosures and actions brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), handling matters before state and federal courts. Her litigation experience includes health care law, particularly medical malpractice defense, and general liability defense.

Lindsay is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar as well as the Orange County Bar Association. Lindsay was recently a member of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers, Hillsborough County Bar Association Youth Projects Committee, and Ferguson-White Inn of Court.

Beyond her professional involvement, Dykstra is also an active volunteer within the community. She is involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and the Orange County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Mentoring Program. Like many other Burr & Forman attorneys, Dykstra also participates in fundraising efforts for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Dykstra earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida.
