Burr & Forman Attorney Appointed to Economic Development Leadership Role

Orlando, FL. - Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce that Orlando counsel Brian Watson has been named to the board of directors for the Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to attracting, retaining and growing jobs in the region. Watson brings his leadership experience in public-private partnership development and implementation to support the board.

The Orlando EDC is comprised of a wide range of business development professionals who assist businesses considering relocation or expansion in Central Florida by providing a variety of services, including confidential project management assistance, site selection assistance, in-depth market data, regional networking, financial and entrepreneurial resources, workforce recruitment and training, and permitting assistance. The EDC serves Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties and the City of Orlando.

At Burr & Forman, Brian focuses on representing issuers, financial institutions, underwriters and investors in connection with the public and private offering of municipal securities. His experience extends to dealing in disclosure due diligence and preparation of securities disclosure documents for numerous bond transactions. In addition, Brian works with clients on securities matters in the areas of private offerings and debt and equity securities, as well as mergers and acquisitions, including buy-side and sell-side representation for stock sales and asset sales.

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida, and his law degree from Stetson University's College of Law.
