Burr & Forman Boosts Economic Development and Government Relations Practices with Addition of John Wall in Columbia Office
COLUMBIA, S.C., August 9, 2021 – Burr & Forman LLP announces the addition of John F. Wall IV as Counsel in its Columbia office. Wall joins from the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, where he served as the General Counsel and Vice President of Government Relations. At Burr & Forman, he will be a part of the firm’s Economic Development practice group as well as its Government Relations practice group.

Wall focuses his practice on governmental relations and economic development matters. He represents clients with legislative and regulatory issues before the South Carolina General Assembly, the Governor’s Office, state agencies, and local governments. He advises and helps manufacturers, distribution facilities, and real estate developers secure state and local tax incentives, grants, and tax exemptions.
While with the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, John advised and advocated for manufacturers on tax, economic development, environmental, energy, labor & employment, legal reform, and workforce development issues. He is an active member of the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association.
Before beginning his legal career, Wall served with the United States Army as a Ranger Company Executive Officer after earning his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
