Burr & Forman Re-Certified Under the Mansfield Rule and Recognized as a Trendsetter for its Efforts in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce it has once again achieved Mansfield Rule Certification from Diversity Lab, the industry standard for certifying a demonstrable commitment to encouraging diversity in law firms. We were additionally designated as a Trendsetter – a firm that has consecutively achieved Mansfield Certification and has remained committed for 2-4 Years.
“Mansfield Rule Certification is something we plan to maintain. As certification requirements increase, we continue to reach the goals set by Diversity Lab but also our own internal goals of promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion throughout our firm,” said Ed Christian, CEO at Burr & Forman.
The Mansfield certification process is designed to ensure all qualified talent at participating law firms has a transparent, fair, and equal opportunity to be considered for advancement into leadership. The program takes a full year to achieve certification and is intended to expand opportunities, not limit or decrease them for anyone.
In addition to achieving re-certification, Burr & Forman was also noted as a “Trendsetter” for consistently remaining committed and accountable to the Mansfield Certification process year-over-year. While Mansfield supports participating firms by providing the structure and guidance needed to build and maintain transparent processes to provide opportunities for diverse leadership, Burr & Forman also has an action-oriented commitment to promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the firm every day.
