Burr & Forman announces that the firm has been honored by the South Florida Business Journal through the publication's annual list of healthiest employers for 2016.

This is the second year that Burr's Fort Lauderdale office has been named among the "Healthiest Employers" in the small company category. Since the first wellness initiative was implemented at Burr & Forman in 2008, the firm has continued its commitment to healthy living through a variety of programs aimed at physical fitness, nutrition and reducing stress. Burr was honored in a special edition of the South Florida Business Journal published on June 6.

Of the firm's Wellness Program, Laurence "Larry" S. Litow, managing partner of Burr's Fort Lauderdale office said, "It was the right thing to do for our employees, and … to contain health care costs and improving productivity. It just made sense. Employees wanted it and our firm leadership fully supported it."

The firm's wellness initiatives include annual biometric health screenings, an online health coaching website, a smoking cessation program, and flu shots to its employees and spouses. To further support healthy living, Burr & Forman offers fruit for purchase in break rooms, cutting-edge fitness devices, and lunch-and-learn education programs with healthy meals.
