Birmingham, Ala., April 06, 2017 - Burr & Forman LLP has named Doug Anderson as office managing partner of its Mobile office. In this role, effective immediately, Anderson leads the financial and operational functions of the 22 attorney office. Anderson is a partner in Burr & Forman's Real Estate and Lending Practices.

Anderson has practiced law in Mobile for more than 30 years. He guides clients involved in commercial real estate, commercial lending, environmental and land use matters. His clients include developers, purchasers, owners and lenders in transactional and development matters. He is frequently recognized by his peers for his commitment to client service and results and earned Best Lawyers "Lawyer of the Year" in 2014 and 2015 for real estate law in Mobile. He currently serves as the attorney for the City of Mobile Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment for the City of Mobile. He also serves as general counsel to the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Mobile, Inc.

Within the community, Anderson has served on the Senior Bowl Committee and also as a past senior warden at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Anderson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
