Burr & Forman Names LaTesha Blair Chief Information Officer
Birmingham, Ala. Jan. 25, 2019 - Burr & Forman LLP announces that LaTesha Blair has been named the firm's Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will be relocating from Columbia, South Carolina to the Birmingham office. In this role, Blair will direct technology planning and implementation and will oversee all aspects of technology services and resources for the firm. Blair will continue to drive innovation and continually assess firm wide technology strategy to ensure security and efficiency.
This appointment follows the finalization of Burr & Forman's acquisition of Carolinas-based McNair Law Firm, which added 84 attorneys from seven offices across North Carolina and South Carolina. The acquisition creates a stronger Southeastern-based full-service firm with more than 350 legal and business professionals, expanding the firm's footprint to 19 offices across eight states.

Before assuming the role of CIO at Burr & Forman, Blair served as Director of Information Technology at McNair Law Firm for over two years. In this role she utilized her knowledge and understanding of technology, procedures, people and the needs of professional service firms to provide strategic IT leadership and direction. Driven by service excellence, she aligned the technology direction for the firm with its strategic plan.
With more than 20 years in technology, Blair has worked throughout the IT field in various environments, including Lexington Medical Center and the South Carolina Department of Commerce. Her background includes project management, data networking, technical support and security.
Blair earned her undergraduate degree in management information systems from the University of Charlotte Belk College of Business.
