Burr & Forman’s Nashville Office Growth Continues with Addition of Kirk Dryer

Firm News

Burr & Forman’s Nashville office continues to expand with the addition of attorney Kirk Dryer as counsel. This is the eighth addition in Nashville this year as the firm increases the breadth and depth of services to meet growing client needs in Music City. Dryer joins the Lending Practice Group where his practice encompasses a wide range of commercial real estate transactions for local, regional, national and international clients, including developers, lenders, pension funds, real estate investment trusts, telecommunication companies, property managers and brokers.

“Our Nashville office is expanding across all practice areas to meet the increasing needs of our clients both locally and regionally,” said Tucker Herndon, Burr & Forman’s Nashville office managing partner. “The growth in Nashville has created a critical need for lending and commercial real estate legal counsel that Burr & Forman is meeting with attorneys like Kirk and others in our lending practice. Kirk’s wide range of experience across multiple real estate segments makes him a particularly good resource, and we are excited to welcome him to the team.”

Dryer began his legal career as a legal honors attorney in the Nashville office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) before moving to Washington, D.C. to accept a position at HUD’s headquarters. While at HUD, he provided counsel on issues involving multifamily housing, community planning and development, and public housing. Dryer joins Burr & Forman after most recently practicing as an associate at Venable LLP in Washington, D.C.

Dryer received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law. He is licensed in the District of Columbia and Tennessee.
