The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Central Florida have named Burr & Forman the 2023 Model Member of the Quarter.

"Burr has been a longstanding supporter of the ABC and its mission to provide education and advocacy for builders and contractors looking to deliver work safely, ethically, and profitably for the betterment of Central Florida communities," said Orlando partner Doug Gartenlaub. "We are thrilled to accept this award and to continue serving the members of ABC."

ABC is the largest commercial construction trade association in Florida, serving both contractors and subcontractors who want to conduct their business in an unrestricted market. The Central Florida Chapter ABC represents companies doing business in the five counties of Orange, Lake, Volusia, Seminole, and Osceola.

Doug Gartenlaub is a partner whose practice is primarily focused on representing clients in disputes related to construction and other matters related to real estate. He is board-certified in business litigation, representing owners, contractors, and developers in a broad range of disputes ranging from complex multi-party construction and real estate matters to title disputes. As part of this practice, Douglas represents his clients in land use and regulatory matters related to construction and land use.

Peter Vilmos is a partner in the Construction and Project Development and the Appellate practice groups. He is Florida Bar Board Certified in Construction, handling complex litigation matters and appeals. For over three decades, Peter has concentrated his practice on construction projects, first-party insurance matters, business disputes, appeals, and real estate litigation. Clients include owners/developers, contractors, sub-contractors, and lenders on construction and project development matters, commercial matters, and other insurance and financing issues. Peter is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator specializing in mediations concerning construction and/or insurance matters.
