Burr Welcomes Andrew Powell to Corporate & Tax Practice Group
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Andrew Powell has joined the firm as an associate in the Corporate & Tax practice group. Andrew's practice will focus on estate planning, business succession planning, charitable gifting, tax matters, and the administration of trusts and estates.

Dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of his clients, Andrew helps individuals and families protect their legacy by crafting personalized estate plans that incorporate familial and business considerations as well as planning for gift, generation skipping transfer, and estate taxes. He handles all aspects of trust and estate administration, guiding fiduciaries and beneficiaries alike through the administrative process, where he has experience dealing with complex probate and trust assets, including mixed-use real estate, operating companies, aircraft, and art collections.
In the area of charitable gift planning and private foundations, Andrew offers advice on establishing and managing private foundations, donor-advised funds, and charitable trusts, enabling clients to establish lasting support for their chosen causes.
Andrew earned his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, and his J.D. and M.B.A. from Wake Forest University, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law, and his B.S. from Boston College.
