Burr Welcomes Dr. Zayn Mohamed to the Tampa Office
Burr & Forman is pleased to welcome Dr. Zayn Mohamed as a staff attorney in the firm's Tampa office.
Dr. Mohamed brings a rare and valuable blend of experience to the practice of IP and life sciences. "We're excited to welcome Dr. Zayn Mohamed to the team, bringing his unique background in intellectual property law and real-time experience as a licensed physician to better serve our clients in the fields of IP and health care," said Jacqueline Simms-Petredis, managing partner of the firm's Tampa office.
Zayn's legal practice includes protecting and managing IP portfolios, licensing and business transactions, and state and federal litigation. He has also provided valuable guidance to clients on navigating regulatory and FDA issues in topics such as pharmaceutical compounding and device classification.
Beginning his career as the youngest graduate in University of South Florida history, the first-ever M.D./J.D. dual-degree candidate at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Stetson University College of Law, and valedictorian of his law school class, Zayn commitment to excellence extends to his community. He serves as a mentor to medical and law students by volunteering at medical clinics and helping coach his alma mater’s arbitration moot competition team.
