Burr Welcomes Zach McCormack to Labor & Employment Practice Group

Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Zach McCormack has joined the firm as an associate in the Labor & Employment practice group. Zach's practice concentrates on representing employers and high-level executives in litigation matters involving allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and breaches of employment contracts.

“We are excited to welcome Zach to our team,” said Jon Gumbel, a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group. “His experience advising employers, handling employment disputes and with employment litigation will be a valuable addition to our team and for our clients.”

Zach advises employers on workplace laws, handles employment disputes from pre-suit through trial and appeal, and drafts motions in federal and state employment law. He provides employee training, conducts investigations, and creates policies to ensure regulatory compliance. Zach also offers guidance on wage and hour issues, leaves of absence, discipline, and terminations, while representing companies and executives in class action litigation and employment negotiations.

Zach earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Savannah State University.
