Burr’s Grayson Lambert Appointed to Serve as Chair on the Fourth Circuit Advisory Committee on Rules and Procedures
Columbia Partner Grayson Lambert has been appointed by Chief Judge Roger L. Gregory to serve as chair of the Rules Advisory Committee through 2022. Grayson has served as a member of the Fourth Circuit Committee since 2017. In 2019 he was reappointed to serve an additional three-year term.
The Fourth Circuit Rules Advisory Committee Chairs consists of an attorney from each of the five states constituting the Fourth Circuit. These members work to advise the court with recommendations concerning proposed changes to the local rules. Grayson serves as the member for South Carolina. Grayson focuses his practice on appellate proceedings and major trial court motions. He represents both private and public entities in cases involving novel or complicated legal questions and complex procedural issues. His recent appellate work includes being counsel of record in the U.S. Supreme Court in obtaining an emergency stay of an injunction so that State election officials could conduct the November 2020 general election under the laws established by the General Assembly.
