Greenville partner Jim Gilliam was recently appointed to serve on the Human Resources Committee for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. The Human Resources Committee meets bi-monthly to offer input and guidance to both the Legislative Agenda Task Force and Chamber staff on all legislative matters relating to human resources. The Committee advises leadership with ways to develop and implement positive employee relations through policies and programs with HR.

The Committee provides assistance and support in ensuring that workers are free from third party interference in the workplace. In order to make the most innovative processes and ideas available, the Committee provides publications, seminars, training programs and networking opportunities to stay up to date on current human resources issues.

Jim's practice concentrations are employment law, business law, and appellate practice. As an employment attorney, Jim provides advice to employers regarding compliance with federal and state employment laws.
