Burr and Forman is pleased to welcome Associate Lauren Rota to the firm's Nashville office. As a member of the firm's General Commercial Litigation practice group, Lauren prepares pretrial motions, appellate briefs, mediation statements, complaints, and written discovery requests.

"We are thrilled to welcome Lauren to our team," said Practice Group Leader Vic Hayslip. "Her litigation experience with the Attorney General's office will complement our team greatly. Her enthusiasm and knowledge are valuable assets from which our clients will no doubt benefit."

Before joining Burr, Lauren served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Tennessee Attorney General's Office, working in both the Civil Law Division and Law Enforcement & Special Prosecution Division. Additionally, she litigated negligence claims, healthcare liability, § 1983 violations, and malicious prosecution claims.

Lauren's experience also includes complex personal injury and tort cases where she negotiated favorable settlements for clients, consulted with expert witnesses, prepared evidence for trial, and took corporate representative and medical proof depositions.

Lauren obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and her Juris Doctor from Belmont University College of Law.
