Firm News

Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Jacqueline Simms-Petredis has been named to Florida Trend's 'Legal Elite Notable Women Leaders in Law' list.

Jacqueline serves as managing partner of the firm's Tampa office and is a member of the Financial Services practice group. With over 20 years of experience, her practice focuses primarily on defending banks, mortgage companies, and other creditors against alleged violations of consumer protection laws in state and federal courts nationwide.

At Burr, Jacqueline is deeply involved in firm initiatives, serving as co-chair of the Burr Women’s Initiative and as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and the Social Justice Committee. She is also actively engaged in recruiting efforts. Outside of her legal practice, Jacqueline serves on the boards of various legal and community organizations, including bar associations, community development councils, and church boards. Additionally, she volunteers with several organizations around the Tampa Bay area.

Florida Trend invited peer nominations from across the state to recommend women leaders in law who met specific criteria. The most distinguished candidates were selected based on their leadership, mentorship, vision for change, and professional growth.
