Forrest Latta Receives ADLA Distinguished Service Award
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Forrest Latta has been recognized by the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association (ADLA) with the prestigious Louise and Ed Livingston Award. This distinguished service award is given to a member who exemplifies the highest standards of legal excellence and exhibits exemplary service and dedication to the organization and its members.
The ADLA honored Forrest with the award at its annual membership business meeting on June 15, 2024 at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, FL.
Forrest is a Partner in the firm's Mobile office. He is a highly experienced litigator and chairs the firm’s appellate team. He has served the ADLA for 30 years, including on the amicus curiae committee, filing briefs in the United States Supreme Court and Supreme Court of Alabama regarding punitive damages, tort reform, and other issues.
The ADLA exists to create an environment for civil defense lawyers that facilitates working collectively and sharing resources. It enables an exchange of information and ideas among members, elevates the skills of civil defense lawyers, and allows for collaboration with similar associations in other legal areas. It seeks to promote a high standard of ethics and professionalism while working to improve the administration of justice.
