Four McNair Attorneys Selected as 2012 Leadership in Law Award Recipients
McNair Law Firm, P.A. is pleased to announce that Managing Shareholder and attorney David Tigges and attorneys Liz Crum, Henrietta Golding, and Rita McKinney have been selected as recipients of the South Carolina Lawyers Weekly 2012 Leadership in Law Award. They will be amongst those recognized at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, SC on March 15th at its fourth annual awards dinner.
Winning attorneys were nominated by their peers and colleagues and selected by the publisher and staff of South Carolina Lawyers Weekly. This award was created to spotlight those within the legal community who are working to better the legal profession through mentoring and involvement within their community as well as going above and beyond in their everyday job.

David Tigges, Managing Shareholder and CEO of McNair, is a member of the Board of Directors and is the immediate past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Hilton Head Island- Bluffton Chamber of Commerce; the Board of Directors for the Heritage Classic Foundation; the South Carolina Aquarium and the Lowcountry Economic Alliance. David has served with other community and business organizations including the Beaufort County Task Force on Economic Development, the Mayor's Task Force for the Island's Future of Hilton Head Island, the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, and The Sandbox: a Hilton Head Area Children's Museum, Inc.
Liz Crum, a shareholder in McNair's Columbia Office, is in the Firm's Administrative and Regulatory Practice, concentrating her practice in healthcare, government purchasing and administrative litigation. She served as an Assistant Attorney General for South Carolina in the Special Litigation Section and as Staff Counsel and Director of Research for the South Carolina House of Representatives Judiciary Committee before joining McNair in 1983. She was recently appointed to the SC DHEC Certificate of Need Review Panel, serves as Chairman of the Richland County Election and Voter Registration Board and also serves on the South Carolina Judicial Council, the Administrative Law Court Rules Committee, the SC Bar Committees. Liz is also a board member of organizations including the University of South Carolina Development Foundation, the University of South Carolina Child Development Center Foundation and the Columbia Design League. Liz served as president of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, Chairman of the Governor's Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee and member of the State Board of Architectural Examiners. She received the Athena Award from the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
Henrietta Golding, a shareholder in McNair's Myrtle Beach office, is in the Firm's Litigation practice and primarily practices labor and employment law (with a specialty in labor and employment law) as well as banking law and civil and commercial litigation. She joined McNair in 2000 after serving as a Stockholder and Officer for Bellamy, Rutenberg, Copeland, Epps, Gravely - Bowers. She currently serves as a member on the Wall School of Business, Board of Visitors at Coastal Carolina University, a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Coastal Carolina National Bank, a member of the Board of Directors for the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation and a Bar Examiner for the South Carolina Supreme Court. She served on the College of Charleston Foundation's Board of Directors for eight years and also served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Horry County Bar Association for four years.
Rita McKinney, a shareholder in McNair's Greenville office, primarily focuses in the areas of employment law, physician representation and business litigation. She currently serves as the Managing Shareholder of McNair's Greenville and Anderson offices. She is also deeply involved within her community, having served on the Greenville Hospital System Board of Trustees and the Columbia College Board of Visitors. Currently she is the Secretary of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees. She served as Director of the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, President of the National Association of Government Labor Officials, a member of the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees and President of the University of South Carolina Alumni Association Board of Governors to name a few of her professional and community involvements.
