Herndon and Penny Recognized in Nashville Business Journal’s 2022 Best of the Bar
Burr & Forman is pleased to announce C. Tucker Herndon and William L. Penny have been recognized in Nashville Business Journal’s 2022 Best of the Bar Awards.
The Nashville Business Journal accepted nominations from the public. Nominees were then grouped by practice areas and participated in a closed round of voting. Those scoring the highest among their peers were chosen as this year’s winning class. This year, there were a total of 77 attorneys recognized across multiple practice areas. The full list of 2022 honorees is available here.
Herndon’s legal practice focuses on commercial lending and creditors’ rights – representing financial institutions and borrowers in loan documentation, foreclosures, and loan and real estate transactions. His community involvement extends to working with elderly and low-income individuals and families affected by foreclosures, often working with banks to help those families save their homes.
Penny, who is Chair of Burr’s Environmental team, approaches his practice as a partnership with clients. He has a wide range of experience including natural resource law, mining, remediation, negotiation with regulatory agencies in environmental matters, superfund litigation, RCRA matters, brownfield redevelopment, wetlands, water quality, radiological waste and compliance, and air pollution control.
