Jackson, MS. - Burr & Forman LLP announces that Jackson-based partner John Lassiter was recently recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal in its annual "Leaders in Law" list for 2018.

John, along with other award recipients, will be recognized at a special "Leadership in Law" reception on December 7th at the Old Capital Inn in Jackson, MS. The reception honors members of the state's legal community and the 2018 Lawyer of the Year. This is the sixth year the Business Journal has put on the "Leadership in Law" series. Honorees are selected based on both their legal successes and the qualities of their character.

At Burr, Lassiter's practice focuses on construction litigation for high-end commercial and industrial owners and general contractors. He also defends banks and other major financial corporations, insurance companies, railroad companies and retailers in courts throughout the region. John practices in the Firm's Construction and Project Development, Commercial Litigation and Financial Services Litigation Groups and represents clients in a wide variety of corporate litigation matters.
