Burr & Forman is pleased to announce Laura Murphy has been recognized in Birmingham Business Journal's 2023 Best of the Bar Awards. 

The Birmingham Business Journal's Best of the Bar Awards are designed to highlight star performers from across the Birmingham legal scene. This year’s winners were selected based on their status within their practice group, tangible accomplishments, and impact on their firms and Birmingham and its legal community, among other factors. Laura practices law in the firm's Lending and Real Estate practice groups. With a background in finance, she provides counsel to lenders, specifically those working in the senior living space. Her reputation for thoroughness has helped grow her business from mostly local to one in which she advises lenders across the country on deals worth tens of millions of dollars. She is motivated by a belief that the senior living sector, especially, deserves highly respectable lenders, operators, and owners – those whose values and commitment to care are beyond reproach.
