Burr & Forman is pleased to announce M. Scott Thomas, a Partner in the General Commercial Litigation practice group has been reappointed to the Fifth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. On September 2, 2022, Governor DeSantis made 36 appointments to the First, Second, and Fifth District Courts of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commissions, as well as appointments to the newly created Sixth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission.

Scott is a general commercial litigator, focusing on complex commercial litigation including real estate and land use matters, business torts, IP, and contract disputes. In addition, he handles the defense of significant injury and wrongful death cases. He has also lead counsel trial experience, jury and non-jury, in both state and federal courts.
