Mark Sharpe Receives South Carolina Bar Corporate, Banking & Securities Law Section Inaugural Distinguished Lawyer Award

Burr & Forman is pleased to announce that Mark Sharpe was selected by the South Carolina Bar Corporate, Banking & Securities Law Section Council to be the inaugural recipient of the Section's Distinguished Lawyer Award. Mark was nominated and selected by his professional peers for this award, honoring his exceptional contributions to the corporate, banking, and securities law practice in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Bar Corporate, Banking & Securities Law Section plans to honor Mark with the award during the annual South Carolina Bar Convention on Friday, January 17th in Columbia, SC.

Mark Sharpe is a member of the firm's Real Estate group in Charleston, where he focuses on corporate transactions, mortgage and UCC foreclosures, and representing lenders and borrowers in substantial real estate and corporate matters.

The purpose of this Section is to promote the goals and objectives of the South Carolina Bar in the fields of corporate, banking, and securities law. Objectives include stimulating research and development, seeking uniformity in legislation and administration, and improving the application of justice in these fields of law.
