David J. Tigges, the Managing Shareholder and CEO of McNair Law Firm, P.A., has been appointed to serve on the South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) Board of Directors. The appointment was made by House Speaker, Bobby Harrell. Established by pension reform legislation signed into law earlier this year, PEBA is responsible for administering the state retirement systems and the employee insurance program.

In addition to serving on the board of PEBA, David currently serves on the board of directors for: the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the Lowcountry Economic Alliance where David currently serves as Chairman, the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and the Heritage Classic Foundation. He previously served on the board for the Beaufort County Task Force on Economic Development, the Mayor's Task Force for Hilton Head Island's Future, the Sandbox Interactive Children's Museum, the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, the South Carolina Governor's Blue Ribbon Committee on Conservation Easements and the South Carolina Governor's Blue Ribbon Committee on Tax Incentives for Historic Preservation.
