Burr & Forman is pleased to announce the arrival of Partner Michael Maguire to the firm's Tampa office as a member of the Real Estate practice group. His practice focuses on all areas of real estate transactions, developments, investments, and management, as well as real estate, asset-based, private equity, and corporate transactional lending.

"Building on other recent great lateral additions in Tampa and throughout Florida, Mike is a seasoned real estate professional with strong ties to the Tampa Bay community. We are excited to have him join our team and are confident that, with our platform and resources, Mike will be positioned to better service his clients," said Tim Zwerner, vice chair of the firm's Real Estate practice group and leader of the firm's Multifamily Housing team.

Michael routinely represents private equity groups, family offices, public companies, community and regional banks, real estate investment trusts, and other entities and individuals in real estate, lending, and corporate transactions. He also has extensive experience in generally counseling and advising clients on various regulatory, financial, employment, growth, and other legal and business issues facing growing companies in many sectors, such as real estate, healthcare, financial services, and hospitality.

Michael also assists his clients in general business counseling, entity formation, joint venture agreements, and related matters, as well as land use and zoning, alcoholic beverage licensing, and governmental regulations.

Michael is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator with experience mediating disputes and litigation relating to title insurance, real estate, foreclosure, eminent domain, contract, commercial, and HOA/condominium. He also provides pro bono services to many deserving families who have received homes through the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.

Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, and his B.A. from the University of Florida.
