Birmingham Partner Rachel Friedman has been named in the Birmingham Business Journal's annual 40 Under 40 awards. These awards honor the best and brightest of the business scene in Birmingham who have distinguished themselves in their fields before the age of 40. 

Rachel defends financial institutions from alleged violations of state and federal consumer protection laws at both the trial and appellate levels. She represents financial institutions such as banks, mortgage lenders, credit card companies, auto finance companies and debt buyers/collectors in consumer lawsuits filed under various state and federal laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Truth-in-Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act.
