Overview

Andy Wilson is an associate in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation practice group. He represents banks, credit card companies, and other financial institutions in consumer lawsuits involving federal and state laws, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. He also has experience in employment law, commercial litigation, and appeals.

Before joining Burr, Andy practiced as an associate in a respected Nashville defense firm and served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Brian S. Miller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. In those roles, he gained broad exposure to many areas of the law and honed his research, analytical, and drafting skills.

His experience includes researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs at all stages of the litigation process, conducting discovery, and participating in settlement negotiations. As a clerk, he drafted numerous orders resolving various dispositive or otherwise critical motions and collaborated with his judge to refine them prior to issuance.

In his free time, Andy enjoys reading, taking walks and hikes, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
