Overview
Assatta practices with the firm's Public Finance Practice Group and represents municipalities, counties, school districts, and other political subdivisions in a variety of financing transactions.
Assatta regularly reviews offering documents used in connection with the sale of public finance securities and filings for compliance with federal and state securities registration and disclosure requirements.
Naturally outspoken and resilient, Assatta works diligently to help accomplish her client’s goals. Assatta earned her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining Burr & Forman, she served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable DeAndrea Gist Benjamin of the Fifth Judicial Circuit.
Assatta spends her free time with her dog, friends, and family. She also enjoys playing tennis with her local USTA league.
