Overview

Brandon Norris, Chair of the firm's Public Finance practice group, focuses his practice on municipal bond issuances, New Markets Tax Credits and other tax credit financings, state and local property tax and other incentives for economic development, public-private partnerships and various connected commercial real estate, corporate and nonprofit, and tax matters. Brandon helps both businesses and local governments finance and complete projects and development by leveraging the creative tools and strategies available to them.

  • Assisted local school district in the formation of South Carolina non-profit corporation and application for exemption from federal income tax
  • Served as seller's counsel in the sale of all membership interests in an industrial services company
  • Served as purchaser's counsel in the acquisition and renovation of a downtown commercial facility

  • Assisted in closing multiple commercial real estate transactions involving the simultaneous purchase and sale of multiple gasoline stations and convenience stores in various states
