Christine N. Burns-Brown

Christine is a skilled litigator in the firm’s Transportation, Insurance, and Product Section practice group. She has trial-to-verdict and first-chair experience in federal and state courts, and has arbitrated and mediated cases before the American Arbitration Association and other tribunals. Christine is known for her strategic approach to litigation, skillful courtroom advocacy, and dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for her clients.

In defending product liability cases, Christine is recognized for her ability to effectively explain her clients’ products, technologies and other complicated topics to courts and juries. Christine works closely with clients and experts to gain a deep understanding of the product’s design, manufacture, distribution, marketing, and labeling, allowing her to develop effective defense strategies tailored to the needs of each case and the clients’ goals. She has defended cases involving aviation components, recreational equipment, and building material products.

Christine has extensive experience handling disputes in personal injury, healthcare, commercial, maritime, transportation, and logistics litigation. She thrives in high-stakes litigation, bringing a results-driven approach to every case. From defending wrongful death claims to navigating intricate contract disputes, Christine’s practice spans a wide range of complex disputes. Clients benefit from her ability to anticipate the likely trajectory of a lawsuit based upon the opposing and co-counsel involved, the venue, and the claims. She prepares clients with a preemptively-focused defense plan that aims to minimize costs wherever feasible.
