Overview
Dhruv currently serves as a Technical Specialist in the firm’s Charlotte office, where he collaborates with inventors and the Intellectual Property practice group on drafting new patent applications and preparing effective responses to USPTO office actions.
Dhruv has experience supporting various technical areas, such as hand tools, construction machinery, lawn care tools, and microcontrollers. With over three years of experience as a Patent Associate, he has experience in prior art searches, drafting patent applications for various countries, responding to examination reports, and working with multiple technologies, from robotics to advertising tech. Dhruv’s past work includes drafting and prosecuting fiber cable patent applications for a world leader in the optical and digital industry and drafting and prosecuting patent applications for small businesses and startups.
Before joining Burr, Dhruv completed his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical and Automation Engineering from Amity University in India and his Master of Science in Computer Science from Hofstra University. He is currently registered as an Indian Patent Agent.
