Overview
Julie serves as Counsel in the firm's Corporate & Tax Practice Group. She concentrates her practice on estate planning, probate administration, guardianships and conservatorships, business formation, tax planning, and consulting. She also assists with various business transactions including asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, and by-laws.
Julie counsels clients in all areas of estate planning, including complex gift, generation skipping transfer tax, estate tax planning, lifetime giving and charitable planning, and prenuptial agreements. She also handles all aspects of probate and trust administration, including advising fiduciaries throughout the administrative process.
Julie received her B.S. degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics from Elon University and her J.D degree from Charleston School of Law. Additionally, Julie received her LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. During her time at Georgetown, Julie interned in the United States Tax Court for The Honorable Judge Nega.
Outside of practicing law Julie enjoys spending time with her family and is passionate about giving back to the community.
