Overview

Katie Moody is an associate in the firm’s General Commercial Litigation practice group. She earned both her J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, Katie served as Executive Communications Editor for the Florida Entertainment and Sports Law Review, worked with the Low-Income Taxpayer Legal Clinic, and served as a Section Representative for the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. She also served as a Lexis Student Associate and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Estate Planning, as well as Probate Estate Administration: Tax Considerations.

Before law school, Katie earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Burr & Forman, she gained valuable experience as a Judicial Intern for The Honorable Philip R. Lammens of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and worked as an intern and administrative assistant for workers' compensation and personal injury firms.
