Kevin is a member of the firm's Health Care practice group where his practice focuses on advising and defending medical professionals and institutions. He focuses on alleviating health care providers’ legal burdens so that they can concentrate on delivering care to patients. He is inquisitive with broad interests, and he has handled disputes across a spectrum of subject-matter areas. Leveraging his litigation experience, Kevin provides results-oriented representation when defending hospitals, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, physicians and their practices, and other health care professionals, including dentists, nurses, and home health care providers. Kevin’s clients run the gamut from rural home health agencies to South Carolina’s largest health care providers.

Raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Kevin attended the University of Alabama, where he obtained both his bachelor's and master's degrees in history. He had the privilege of teaching history to undergraduates, sharing with them his passion for analyzing big questions. Kevin earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While there, he had the opportunity to serve as a South Carolina Bar Public Interest Law Fellow and as a student law clerk at the South Carolina Supreme Court, gaining exposure to all aspects of South Carolina’s legal system, drafting several of the court guides published by the Judicial Branch for self-represented litigants.

Kevin lives in Charleston with his wife, Cate, and their children. They enjoy traveling, gardening, and camping. Kevin especially enjoys any opportunity to take his daughter and son to explore a historic site or out on the water.
