Overview
Mary Kate Miranda is a member of the firm’s Lending practice group. Her practice is focused on commercial real estate, real estate lending work, and alcohol regulatory law. She works with hotels, bars, and restaurants in obtaining or transferring liquor licenses.
Mary Kate has served as Law Clerk for Federal Judge Madeline Haikala and Federal Judge Corey Maze of the Northern District of Alabama. She had the opportunity to attend hearings and trials, draft a variety of opinions, and research legal matters.
Mary Kate also served as a Summer Clerk for Regions Bank and worked closely with the in-house counsel for Corporate Governance and Consumer Banking teams.
Mary Kate obtained her Juris Doctor from Samford University, where she graduated cum laude. She was a member of the Cumberland Law Review, Women in Law and the Alabama Student Bar Association. She also served as a Research Assistant for the university. She was a Scholar of Merit in Business Organizations and Professional Responsibilities. Prior to attending law school, Mary Kate obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
