Overview

Matthew Rogers is an Associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group where he handles construction-related litigation, contract disputes, first and third-party insurance coverage matters, general insurance defense, insurance appraisal, public adjuster disputes, and bad faith and extra-contractual litigation. He has experience handling defense-related litigation in both State and Federal Courts in all three grand divisions of Tennessee.

Prior to practicing law, Matthew worked as a Field Claims Representative for over seven years in the insurance industry with a national insurer, where he handled property and liability claims in Tennessee, and assisted with Catastrophe claims throughout the southeastern United States. During his tenure in insurance, he obtained the Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in General Insurance (AINS) certifications while investigating and resolving over 3,000 litigated and non-litigated insurance claims. Matthew’s Property & Casualty training and claims experience give him a unique advantage in litigated matters.

Matthew attended Nashville School of Law where he received top performance awards in Business Associations & Domestic Relations. Prior to law school, he received his double major, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, where he was a College of Business & Global Affairs, Faculty Scholar.

Matthew was born and raised in Southwest Tennessee until he met his wonderful wife, Jantzen, in 2014. Matthew and Jantzen currently reside in Mount Juliet with their son, Hayes. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, skiing, golfing, and waterfowl hunting.
