Rob C. Dills

Rob Dills serves as Counsel in the firm’s Real Estate Practice group, where his work encompasses residential and commercial real estate, real estate financing, real estate development, business transactions, estate planning, and probate.  Rob’s clients span a diverse range of industries, including technology, real estate, entertainment, retail, and finance, as well as individuals and families.  Rob has experience handling complex commercial transactions, corporate mergers and acquisitions, business formations, and compliance management.

Rob routinely handles purchases, sales, commercial leases, 1031 exchanges, and investment and rental property transactions.  Rob is also a licensed title insurance producer and experience preparing and reviewing title work.  In addition to the real estate transactional experience, Rob also handles real estate litigation including quiet title actions, boundary disputes, and heirs’ property matters in South Carolina.

Along with his real estate and business practice, Rob has strong experience in crafting comprehensive estate plans for both modest estates and high-net-worth families, ensuring clients' priorities are addressed while protecting assets through trusts and other preservation methods. He also manages trust administration and probate litigation.

Before joining Burr, Rob was the Founder and Managing Attorney of Dills Law Firm, where he oversaw all firm operations and focused on continuous improvement.  Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time on the water or travelling with his wife and son.

Rob earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2014.  In 2009 he earned his B.S. from the University of South Carolina in Sports and Entertainment Management.
