Overview
As a partner in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation Group, Sara builds on her research abilities and relationships to serve clients in the financial, banking, and insurance markets. She represents clients in a broad range of civil litigation in state and federal courts such as contract disputes, collections, and statutory issues including the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), among others.
Her confidence and knowledge allow her to work across a broad range of cases and clients, from a publicly traded provider of loyalty and marketing services, to a leading consumer financial technology company, to a company that develops, underwrites, and markets specialty property insurance. Sara served as an early member of Discover Financial’’ Diversity Mentorship Program, which focused on diversity and inclusion and the development of young talent.
She was named to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America: Banking and Finance Law and Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions - Defendants lists. Outside of practicing law, Sara serves her community as a Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale volunteer and performs improv comedy.
Sara is licensed to practice law in Florida. Prior to joining the firm, she was an extern for the Honorable James Lawrence King of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Sara earned a J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law, where she was President of the Student Bar Association and inducted into the Iron Arrow Honor Society, the highest honor attained at the University of Miami. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, with an outside concentration in Theatre, from the University of Florida.
