Overview

Zach McCormack is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment practice group, where his practice concentrates on representing employers and high-level executives in litigation matters involving allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and breaches of employment contracts.

Zach’s experience includes advising employers of all sizes on workplace laws and handling employment disputes from pre-suit demands through trial and appeal. He drafts dispositive motions in federal and state employment law, provides employee training, conducts investigations, and creates agreements and workplace policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Zach also offers guidance on wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, workplace discipline, and terminations. Additionally, he represents companies, executive teams, and boards in class action litigation and assists executives in negotiations related to employment, compensation, and separation.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as a student works editor for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business. Before law school, Zach completed his undergraduate degree at Savannah State University. While there, he served as the baseball team captain and earned the Pitcher of the Year Award his senior season.
